I am interested, but I am unsure about using one for a bear gun..... how are the long term reports from Cowboy Action shooters?

I have had one on my 336 for about 3 years and at least 500 rounds through it with no problem. I would just add an extra red washer for a self defense gun.

Thanks for the offer. I really would like to post some photos of the National Match Colt and also my Rolling Block 45-70 that I stocked using birds eye maple. Unfortunately all I have is the camera on the I-Mac .
