US Metal?

Post by Arthur57 » Mon Mar 02, 2020 12:10 pm

Alright, so I got me a Henry All weather 45-70 lever action, and let me tell you, I love it. If my house ever catches on fire, I’m getting that gun. I’m also new to the 45-70 Caliper, I love it and boy is it a pain to find where I live.

So here’s my question, does Henry use US metal/Steel to make there beautiful firearms?

I worked at a factory not to long ago as a welder. They advertised that their product were made in America, but 99% of their metal cane from China (and the metal sucked)

That’s what got me curious if Henry uses US steel or not. Thank you.

I would think that its American Steel since they advertise Made in America or not made at all. All of the products they sell on the website accessories included are made in America.
Im sure if you emailed Henry you would get your answer.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Yes it is. Barrels are made from gun barrel steel they get from a mill in Ohio. See this:

and this where they follow a 45-70 thru the production process :

This is the label on my Craftsman tool boxes. They are 99% steel.
