The Big Boy

Post by RanchRoper » Sun Feb 16, 2020 9:20 pm

Found an old pic of my Henry Big Boy 45 Colt. The guy I sold it to really likes it. It was a great shooter. Still a beauty.

To help fund the 1860 would be my guess.

Yup. Although a nice rifle and a great shooter, it never felt comfortable packing it horseback in the scabbard. It is a very hefty rifle, with a beefy wooden fore end on it. I ride with my legs and need to have closer contact with my horses. My 1860 packs much better for an all day ride.
