Still using AE 158 soft points. Dropped a nice sized whitetail a couple days ago. Missed the heart, blew the lungs out. Short run and easy recovery. The 357 is quite able. Yeah, the 44 would be easier, but, who wants easy? About a 65yard shot.

I went with the .357 as I have several revolvers in that caliber. Although I do not routinely shoot the same loads through the carbine and revolvers, I could in a pinch if I had to. It has been a great rifle and goes along with me frequently.

congrats indeed .... its really nice when faced with such a decision that there simply isn't a bad choice .... our 357 (and 44) Henry rifles have both proven to be outstanding performers

Good choice since you have revolvers in the 357 caliber. I personally went with the 44 mag carbine because I also have a 44 mag revolver, along with the H006 Big Boy Classic. I have one load that works well with all three firearms. Have fun with it.

Well if you load for .44 Mag go for the 44 carbine since you can then load them light for plinking and heavy for hunting or for trail carry.
Love my 44 BBS carbine!

Just get one of each then you wont have any question on which one to get. Theres always room for more.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
