UPDATE:
Took her out today .. first time since getting it back and I can tell you I was a bit apprehensive. I had cycled it with snap caps about 50 times over the last few days and it seemed to work fine.

Well .. Fired about 60 rds of Remington HTP 158gr SP and it was cycling like glass. No issues at all. Those rounds are a bit spicy but the gun handled it just fine. It really felt night and day from my first outing. I had read so much about how nice they cycle so I was bit disappointed at my first outing but today .. whew .. you just had to think about the next round and it magically appeared in the chamber. Freagin Sweet!!

The wife put about 14 rounds through it with my softer reloads and had a hoot and actually .. having never ever ever having shot a rifle .. she did really well. I had to snatch it from her!

I fired about another 21 rounds of my reloads and they all feed flawlessly. The were 158 gr LSMC

These are pretty hard bullets so they can handle lower end .357 just fine. I did get 2 light strikes but I will blame that on my reloads and not the gun as it fired ever one of the factory rounds.

I didn't try any 38's but maybe I will try them out next time just to see. All in all ... WHAT A BLAST THIS GUN IS!
