Sling
Re: Sling
The sling I've gone to for all my single shots and my Henry lever actions is sold by Browning (made in Canada). It's a leather slide arrangement on a simple 1 inch sling, there's no metal, other than the swivels, so it won't mar the receiver, and it's also quite light. I don't recall the model name, number, etc., and the only place I've ever seen them is in Superior Wisconsin, at Shooter's Supply (I recently bought one for my Son-in-Law's .308 ss. That's not much help, I know, but at least they're out there. Someone else must have 'em .

Update: The sling is called the "Six Mile Leather Sling", but now is shown as being discontinued. I'd better pick up another spare next time I'm in Superior .

Re: Sling
OR buy the Tandy Leather Sling Kit for $19.99 and do it yourself!

I still have mine that gets used on several rifles from back when the kit cost something like $4.79 I think!

Re: Sling
I got myself a Montana all leather sling that has a sliding adjustment built into it. It is a leather knot of some type and it is real handy while hunting. The sling looks great on mine. I also added a leather loop lever handle wrap from Hellhound Leather. Together they look great on the my Henry BBS 44M!

Re: Sling
its been interesting to look at the really nice slings in the links already provided in this thread .... it sure doesn't take much effort to tie up some $$$ .... historically, the only time I attach a sling is when I'm hunting .... I've never bought an expensive one and don't anticipate doing so but have enjoyed looking
