Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Don't know about a red dot. I had one on my AR 15 and didn't really like it. My eyes need magnification. I think a more traditional scope is best as it would look better on a western style gun than a red dot. Thanks for the suggestion though.

well understood .... for the ranges I customarily fire a handgun, a red dot is fine .... we have one on our Redhawk that does an outstanding job .... for longer ranges that I customarily enjoy shooting with a rifle, I need the magnification provided by a variable power scope

I finally got time to shoot my BBS in .45 Colt today. I shot some of the ammo provided by my local range and some "cowboy" loads I had bought for my ASM SAA. The range loads were very hot and shot well in the BBS, Groups were right at 3-4" at 25 yards with the iron sights (I could barely see the front sight). Scoped, this thing is gonna shoot outgtanding groups. BTW, I liked the gun so much that I ordered a BBS Carbine in .357 after I was done shooting for the day! The carbine will complement my new EMF-Pietta SAA in the same caliber. Love these Henrys!!

Thanks for the range report. Yup! That new carbine will be right at home with your SAA! I have my BBB .357 paired with a Taylors/Uberti SmokeWagon SAA. I usually take them to the range together. Shoot one, then the other. Repeat. Lots of shooting fun!

Thanks guys!! Because of the holiday, I should get the gun this Friday and then it's the usual Crapifornia 10 day wait. I saw a nice Weaver 3x9 scope at Turners this weekend. $199.00 is the sale price. May just go for that.
