Just was over on Gunbroker and found a couple of the sidegates in 35 Remington. Looks like they are showing up in time for some hunting seasons

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Thinking those .35 Rem Henry's will be a good seller about now. Season's are creeping up! Solid cartridge in a solid rifle.

When I was in Idaho a couple months ago, I saw a very well put together Marlin 336 in .35 Rem for $509. They still have it, but, it's Micro Groove rifling. Not a bad price.

Tom, nothing wrong with the Micro groove rifles.
I have two, one from the early 60's and another from the mid 70's.
Both shoot my cast loads well, don't know about the jacketed stuff as I don't shoot any. :o
I would like to test one of the Henry's, and see how they compare.

Vaquero, believe me, my wheels are turning! When I get back from a hunting trip, I'll be sitting down to really ponder this one. Can you give me an idea what your cast loads are? Scheese, I'll be thinking more on that Marlin than helping my bud look for deer. Well, maybe not, but, you know...... Thanks.

the 35 Remington has an interesting history .... originally designed for use in a Remington Model 8 semi auto .... it was favored by gangsters and law enforcement as well .... some reports say it was used in the Bonnie and Clyde ambush
