Henry side loader
I already owned a golden boy and the brass 45/70 rifle and in a moment of weakness I just picked up a 30/30 side loader for what was probably too much money. I could not leave the store without it. Although I am happy with my other two Henry rifles I am glad that they listened to what their customers wanted and made these rifles. When they give the big boy the same treatment I will buy a 45 colt or 357.

Congrats on the new side gate as long as you are happy isnt that all that matters. Bought one myself and probably could have gotten it a little cheaper but Im ok with it.

Re: Henry side loader
My side loader in 30-30 just came and I picked it up today. It is the most beautiful rifle I have. I only saw it for the first time a week ago and it was love at first sight. I knew I had to have one immediately. I ordered mine online for 750.00 and it was here in 6 days. I can't wait to shoot it. Now if they just would make one with an octogen barrell !

Re: Henry side loader
Interesting. You see a large number of us have been after Henry for some time to offer a brass receiver with a round barrel. For many of us that was more important than the side gate. My 38-55 was one of the first released. Had it come with an octagon barrel I wouldn't have bought it for the side gate feature.Dave1953 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 4:55 pmMy side loader in 30-30 just came and I picked it up today. Just wondering what the appeal is for the 'large number' who want a round barrel on a brass frame as opposed to octagon. You see a large number of us have been after Henry for some time to offer a brass receiver with a round barrel. For many of us that was more important than the side gate.
