I saw this last night. He seemed pretty happy with it.

Hickok usually does a good job evaluating various firearms .... when I heard that Henry had come out with a side loading gate, I couldn't help but wonder what feature he'd complain about next .... where Henry is concerned, it now looks like he may not have any .. :D

While I normally like his reviews, I thought this one was painfully redundant. How many times does he have to say "it's purdy"? And he didn't tell me anything I didn't already know, including the cartridge hangup when unloading thru the tube.

Yea the part of him smacking the muzzle on the bench to release the cartridge was a bit disturbing. Maybe pushing a finger into the gate would have done it as well but that wasn't mentioned. And backup to 13.23 when he is loading and seating the tube - notice him 'hammering' the tube by hand a couple times to clear the rims of the rounds before the tube seats?
I am basically impressed with the rifle but the dual load system with it's apparent problems is not in any way an advantage over simply cycling the action to unload a typical side loader - as has been done for over a 150 years now.

Yep. Thought that was a little amateurish. Overall, I got the impression he would rather have been doing something other than filming this episode. :?

Yea - now that you mention it his presentation seemed a bit 'contrived' rather than genuine.....

.
finger fiddling with the end of the mag tube to get it to seat isn't what I think of as 'hammering'. The finger fiddling to seat a mag tube on a Henry is what it is for a lot of Henry's rifles.

I generally avoid his video reviews. They tend to run longer than necessary with that redundancy you've noted. That aside the rifle sure is purdy! ;)

It was nice to see near the end where he demonstrated that gate does not pinch or cause bleeding.
Didn't see the 'stuck round while unloading from the tube' coming. That was a good tip to make users aware of.
