The big question is when will they show up at dealers? Anybody know?

I'm on one of their email lists and the notice I got a couple of days ago said "Shipping now...", so it appears to be imminent.

One thing I hadn't noticed until I saw them on the HRA Website is the enhanced engraving in the grip and fore-arm areas. Pretty nice.

Stupid question. Is the capacity 5 rounds? Or can you load 5 down the tube, plus 5 in the side gate?

I think the way it would work is that you load whatever the tube capacity is, cycle the lever to put one in the chamber, CAREFULLY drop the hammer, then top it off by loading one in the side gate.
Only thing is that it leaves a live round in the chamber, which some might frown on...

.
There's only one tube. Holds 5 regardless of which end of the tube it's loaded from.
(although one of the reviewers said the .30-30 held 6 in the tube)

Yep. I've known some people (including .mil & LEO) that refuse to fully load up a current DA revolver or SA Ruger because they did not want a live round under the hammer. Didn't H&R (Hammer the hammer) do transfer bars in the late 1890's?

My SA Uberti manual says park an empty under the hammer. I've looked at the mechanics of the transfer bar and wonder with old oil and grim if the transfer bar could someday get stuck up behind the firing pin. I don't see an easy way to disassemble the hammer in a Uberti to clean out the transfer bar channel.

I wonder if the steel version will have the same wood and front sight as this version. Those things are more interesting to me than the loading gate.
