Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

.
The seize up jam was fixed by a trip to Henry for repair (rotating bolt adjustment). The occasional cockeyed round in the receiver jam still happens. Glad this rifle isn't a rimfire. Levering with authority slams that once in a while cockeyed round pretty hard.

Thanks. The scope is great, has excellent clarity, field of view and eye relief, but I do not like the cross hair. Too basic. Like the cross hair on my Vortex better.

Now with the Brass Stacker/Rick Lowe padded sling and 360 swivels. Oh and I see we still have pictures getting stretched vertically. Hopefully we'll have the picture script updates to the forum soon too.

Did some work on the lift in the magazine and the bottom of the bolt. Stone hone polished out the bolt gouges in the lift of the magazine as well as the sharp edges on the bottom of the bolt. Bolt doesn't gouge the lift as bad. Takes a lot more reps of the lever to get gouging to appear.

I have large thumbs and have difficulty getting the release button pressed in far enough for the magazine to release. You grip the bottom of the magazine with your fingers wrapped around it while using your thumb on the release button.

I've added a stick-on cabinet door bumper dot on top of the release button and this works perfectly. But being a clear dot I don't like the fish-eye look it gives to the button. Anyway I've ordered black flat bumper to replace the clear one.
[Updated with 3rd picture showing the black bumper]
