.
Go for it! If it shoots like my LR .223/5.56 you'll love it!

I might just do it. I have the Long Ranger in .308 but I do like 6.5 Creedmoor. Can you imaging shooting steel at a 1000 yards with a lever gun?

I can imagine it, but hard to see ever doing it. Finding a range or open spot to do it? Expense of a scope to see a target that far away? All I can do is dream.

I've rung steel at about 400 yds with my 308 LR and what a thrill! Don't know why it was, just one of those "Holy Cow!" moments.

With a home range out to 600 yards and 1000 yard ranges not to far away I feel lucky that way.
When I got back into it a few years ago I invested in a Weaver T 24 target scope and then two Meuller tactical target scopes. So I'm covered that way.

The club I belong to now goes to 500 meters but there is one not too far away that goes out to a mile :-)

I picked one up when I saw they were making it back in january to replace my mossberg .270 as an Elk / Deer gun. I was going to opt for the .308 orginally , but the lower recoil of the 6.5 makes it nicer for everyone while still keeping enough energy to do what it needs to do.

Threw a Leupold VR-3 3.5x10 with CDS on it. only took 3 bullets to get zero'd at 200 yards.

So far so good with it. It is wonderful to shoot and more accurate than I am. Action is very smooth. I think the 6.5 Creed is a great choice for the gun. It is a verstile round that doesn't break the bank or shoulder. The Elk and Deer don't care if the bullet has a man bun

Only complant is I do wish the action was easy to take apart to clean, but oh well.

I was considering the creedmoor, but went with the .223 instead. 5 rounds in the magazine instead of 4.
