Cool. 8-) Another .357 owner...the population is growing! Good caliber choice.
Enjoy that new "beaut!" :)

Oh yeah, love shooting 357 out her, little to no recoil. I was having so much fun I forgot to snap some pics, sorry:) Action was little stout to start but really ran well after around 50 rnds. Have to get used to the Buckhorn sights, any advice?

Have you tried the rear site Buckhorn options?

"...the rear sight contains a white diamond insert for fine-tuning height adjustment. This insert piece is also reversible and gives you a choice of U shape or V shape.." This part is held in place by a small screw.

I got used to the Buckhorn sites pretty quickly out to about 35yds. Beyond that I couldn't see well enough (old eyes) so I got a scope.

best advice I can give is to spend as much time as possible practicing .... looking forward to your coming reports and pictures .... please take a look at our How Many ? thread and add your 357 to our community's total

just to check.

has anyone actually seen or touched a CCH carbine yet ?? i have handle a cpl rifles and the cch is beautiful, but i tend to like the carbines, my lgs shows no avail yet from their suppliers, and gun broken doesnt have any carbines that i have found.

now i am looking for 357, thats what i currently reload for, but im starting to consider a 44mag,

the only minor thing i dislike on the cch and its just a me thing is i wish it had a metal butt plate and not the recoil pad,

this is a link for henry shipping and does anyone know what "improving delivery, might mean "

thanks gang

Totally conjecture, Troy.

On the availability list, those rifles marked "improving delivery to meet demand" may mean Henry is behind on their production goals, and trying to ramp up production on these models. They really do have a large variety of advertised Henrys this year, and everyone knows it has been a challenge to get them all out on a timely schedule. The availability list seems to be helpful though in their attempt to keep customers informed.

yeah i can see that, they are getting to very popular, and in the grand scheme of things id rather wait a few months for the quality we have become used to than have them get to big and watch the company go down the same road alot of firearms company's have.

the Henry company actually cares about the end client, most dont anymore

Now that you mention it, I don't know that I've seen a CCH 357 CARBINE anywhere, even GunJoker.

Even the CCH 357 rifle seems hard to come by right now, but so does the 30-30.

My read is that sales of the CCH line has exceeded HRA's expectations, and they've only got so much production time. That catalogue has gotten pretty darn big, and managing the inventory pipeline, from factory to distributors to retailers, gets pretty complicated, especially once they lose visibility of movement once things hit the distributor channel.

But, you're right, I'd rather wait, too, than see them rush things.

I looked over a CCH 44Mag Carbine a couple of weeks ago at the LGS - I was kind of surprised because the fit and finish was not up to what I usually see from Henry - forearm cap wasn't on straight and wood at the tang was proud. I guess even Henry is having some QC issues trying to keep up with demand. On top of that there was a big scratch on the barrel (probably happened at the LGS). They may have to drop the price a little bit to move that one....
