And then there is my sons'-in-law Henry CCH .45-70. Wow :!:

It was built and fitted excellently, and has beautiful wood furniture, and a cool 8-) CCH finish. I finally got him hooked on a Henry, and this is one of his deer hunting long guns now. BTW, this is the first Henry he has bought. He owns a large number of various firearms and doesn't get overly excited about the next one. But when he first opened this Henry NOOB, he was really animated on how great it looked! I would, too!

He loaned it to me one week to try it out. It's not only a looker, but a great shooter.
I can see why Folk like the CCH finish in all Henry models after seeing this one.

Troy, if I were you, I'd keep on waiting for that perfect CCH .357 Magnum Carbine. It will be worth it! :)

Following are some pics I took of his CCH .45-70 rifle a while back. Enjoy the CCH look!

wow pt7:
that rifle would be hard to give back. might have to pull rank as in father in law stripe is higher than son in law

only thing about a 45-70 in oklahoma is in 54 years i havent ever seen a grizzly or buffalo in the back yard :)

and while i must say im a might prejudiced about scopes and lever dont mix, that one does look decent, and with that cal for long range deer i can see it

beautiful rifle indeed .... our CCH 45-70 makes me wish we could have gotten on in 44 Mag .... I've considered taking our 44 apart and sending in the receiver to have it color case hardened .... unfortunately, that's an expensive process and in the end, it wouldn't make the rifle shoot any better

That's an interesting idea. Where would you send it and approximately what is the cost for the CCH process? Didn't know a receiver could be retrofitted.

I don't usually care all that much for the CC look, BUT on that rifle it has a gorgeous pattern flow and color that goes real good with the wood. :o

There is one online at gunbroker. I have seen it for sale but there asking price is more than I would give. It will be a while yet but they will show up. I have seen the 45 and the 44 for in the 775 area. I think these guys were wanting 875 for the carbine. Well I just went and looked after posting this Buds Gun shop has the for 791.00 plus 25.00 shipping. Thats not a bad deal. Another thing I might add is the 20 inch barrel model is a pound lighter that the brass model. I still want a carbine but the full size wouldnt be bad weight wise. Al
