BBB 44 Mag Initial Sight In With Skinner Express
This weekend I briefly sighted in my new BBB 44 magnum with a Skinner Express mounted on the receiver with factory front sight. I tried using Winchester white box 240 grains. I was only able to shoot from 18 yards. Had a good off hand grouping but was 3 inches high. Anyone have an idea of where this might put me when shooting at 50 or 100 yards? I'm trying to decide if I should get a higher front sight before my next outing. Thanks

do you have access to a chronograph .... given the muzzle velocity, weight of the bullet, and its Ballistic Coefficient, we can calculate a sight in point

Unfortunately not. I am thinking I am going to be pretty high at 50 yards though. Thanks.

running our 240 gr Noslers as chronographed out of our Henry, if our bullet hits
-0.2" low at 18 yards it would be 1.1" high at 54 yards and dead on at 100 yards ....
3.5" high at 18 yards would put it 12.4" high at 54 yards ---- 21.9" high at 108 yards .... hope this helps

Going to try a Skinner .650 patriot and Lyman AMI .494 Globe. I think the Patriot with a little filing will do the trick but also intrigued by the posts relating to the Lyman. I have 59 year old eyes.
