Thankyasir! I'm at a loss. Looks the same as mine, best I can tell.
Cept mebbe you have a flat on top of your bolt?
And izzat a coupla holes in the top of the bolt?
A real head scratcher.
On a side note, the folks at Henry have been great to deal with thus far. Tipothehat to'em! d:^) Schneeks..

My bolt is round on top - same as yours. Are you really taking that 44Mag out to hunt hogs?

Oh yeah. It's mostly short range and sows aren't hard ta kill. Boars neither if ya have any proficiency at all with a firearm. I've been nailin'em no problems with 125gr SST's around 2800fpsmv outta the SCAR. I just want something a bit "handier" and don't care for the way rifle bullets come apart at higher velocities (although 2800fps ain't exactly hot-roddin).
Figgered to try chuckin a bigger hunk'o'lead slower for good penetration and hopefully the hard 240's I have on order from Missouri hold together better. I spit out some lead from a sausage patty a few days ago and my household RN freaked. So I had an "in" for a new rifle. (Never let an opportunity goto waste.) ;)
Thanks much for your assistance! d;^)

Cool - that 44Mag oughta wake up those hogs - great use for an all weather Henry. I bet you don't even need a hard 240 to drop a hog - even factory hollow points hit pretty dang hard. As much as I'd love to hunt hogs with ours, I'm kind of glad they haven't made it this far north - those things are nasty to anything that grows on a farm...

My 357 Steel also does this. Another member posted a good tip. Wrap a Velcro strap around the grip and the hammer spur. It works very well. Good luck.

Stay away from files as long as you can!

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

I am thinking the bolt got in the receiver somehow. Have you heard back from Henry yet? You should not have to modify the hammer to take the bolt out.

Hey GFK, yup, they called me back today after talkin with me right about COB yesterday. Great CS and they've been great to work with thus far. Quick with email and phone responses.
Thanks much for the input, fellas. I pulled the screws for the AitH rail just ta make sure they weren't binding the bolt. No dice.
Codfisher- I ain't grabbin'em just yet. Still bein under warranty and all. But the thought has definitely crossed my mind.
Tractortad-They ain't good for nothin cept killin and eatin. The paper company even pays guys to trap'em.
JEBar- I must be the lucky one. Hehehe. Least it still shoots and I can knock out the big chunks with a bore snake till we figure it out. I really hope somebody makes a bore guide for it. But it shouldn't be a big deal with a straight walled case if I need to twist one up. d:^) Schneeks..
