I'm looking to replace the buttstock and forend on my H024 45-70 with traditional walnut, non-checkered/machined furniture. There are buttstocks available but I'm making no progress finding a forend that will fit with certainty. I have contacted Henry and the rep I talked to "wasn't sure" and "didn't think so" when asked about other model fitment. Has anyone successfully replaced their factory H024 stocks with aftermarket ones? Im not interested in AR style hardware. Thanks for the help

No sir, but I do understand wanting to rid yourself of those gawdy looking stock sets.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck on finding a replacement stock.

The factory ones are a bit much - much fancier than I am. Plus all the sharp machined edges are going to retain all kinds of dirt and grime from gloved hands. I may try a H006 set. Octagon barrel I know but the barrel ring and receiver end undercut are the only forend attach points. May work

Those rifles should come with naturally and nice stock sets instead of that Excessive carvings.
