So I got an email reply from Henry regarding stock fitment. They do not sell a wood set compatible with the X. The H12 fore end will fit but not the buttstock. The H010/018 buttstock will fit but not the fore end. Since they are sold in matching sets, not only would I end up with an unmatched set on the gun, I’d have the opposite mixed set left over. Way too much money for such an endeavor.
Guess I’ll stick with the plastic on this one, but will wait to find the wood I want on the 45-70. If I can ever find a 45-70 locally!
