Father time isnt on my side. Im pretty sure I wont be able to see above the dirt by the time my tube feed Henrys gain much in value. And if they do I wont be here to know how much because I aint sellin them anyway. Somebody else will get that job.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I have a side gate model but I still load mine through the tube 99% of the time. Loading through the tube is so much easier. I do like the side gate for topping it off and it also shows when there is a round in the magazine. Henry adding a side gate was a great thing. So many people wouldn’t even look at a Henry because there was no side gate. I still prefer the Henry even if there was no side gate. I think values may drop initially but will come back because the non side gate models will no longer be available for purchase new.

Gun auction (GA) closed last night on an all weather 30-30 with no SG and a 100 dollar scope & sling at $906.00. My feeling is that it will be difficult to really understand price fluctuations until after the pandemic is under control, supply chain issues are resolved for the new gun market, and the used market has a chance to normalize.

Not enough new side gates out there yet to make a difference.

Well, I guess the value could increase for some people. But, I bought mine to shoot. So, I will be shooting it for awhile. If the value reach in the thousands, I may would have to reconsider it. You only live once. Might as well have a bang while your are living. Most cases, more money = more bang! Therefore, a new Henry, with a sidegate, may do.

I have no desire to sell or get rid of my BBS, but I only have one.

I always planned to pick up at least one or two more in the same caliber, maybe a shorter carbine. So when I do I'll pick up a BBSS model. I would venture that desirability becomes a matter of utility preference impacting the market over the longer term as purchasers value the side gate functionality available on newer models.

I'm not a collector so values don't impact me. It's only just a tool.

Albeit, a beautiful, well maintained, customized, proud to own it, tool.

Nice piece! Be careful, someone may mistake it as an assault rifle. :?

From all the complaints I read about side gate issues, of one type or another, I can't see the value of tube feeders dropping.

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.
