Where would I find that atfortyshooter wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 2:19 pmThat is a nice addition to your rifle collection! I have the 44 Mag Carbine and love it. Now about your sight issue...I used to have that too but found a quick "cheap" fix.Island Knight wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 1:18 pmExited to hunt with it. I have 37 rounds of 44 mag and 20 rounds of 44 spl. I know it’s not much but I never expected to buy a 44. Ready to shoot it. Only thing I don’t like is the rear sight. I think my 1895 guide gun with ghost ring sight has spoiled me
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Your local hardware store! I make the insert out of the end of hacksaw blades which have a nice .150 diameter hole.
A bit of grinding to get to same size of factory insert....remove the blade paint with Acetone and a nice blued hardened ghost ring insert!
I have them on all my Henry lever rifles.

Nice all weather, I love my 357. I didn't like the sights either. Went with skinner and very pleased

Island Knight they're super easy. Just 2 screws , screws and allen wrench are included with sight. The factory front sight works perfectly on this rifle. You just have shoot it and see, skinner has front sights if you need

I also have a skinner sight on my AW 44magnum, I didnt need to replace the front sight, I just lowered the original buckhorn sights at lowest setting and aim through the buckhorns.

Congrats on the new Henry.
Is it just the light, or is the reciever slightly darker than the barrel and loading tube?
