A part just broke on my BBSC 357
Re: A part just broke on my BBSC 357
From what I saw in the photos, the broken part appears to be a MIM part. Once in a while a part will have an internal weak spot that developed during the molding process, which is not visible from the outside. Eventually the part will fail. It happens when you mass produce machinery or any other products with metal parts.
I own a Kimber 1911 and the MIM thumb safety broke after I fired a few hundred rounds. I have fired thousands of trouble free rounds since it was replaced.
If you manufacture large numbers of a product, you will experience a problem once in a while.

Well UPS has my rifle now. They picked it up this afternoon. Henry should have it by Friday. I’ll feel better once I see that Henry received it. Then it’s a waiting game.

Glad you got it wrapped and out. I'm in the same waiting game as well. They received mine on the 15'th. I wait for an email every day. That's ok though as long as It comes back satisfactory. I have no doubt, no matter how long it takes, that Henry USA will make it right...deano5150 wrote:Well UPS has my rifle now. They picked it up this afternoon. Henry should have it by Friday. Re: A part just broke on my BBSC 357
Lets see - late January, February, March, early April.
Guess I was wrong about the two month part.
Anyone want to buy the .22 magnum when it gets back?
