I have a good friend that lives just south of St Louis who owns one.
I forgot about it when I made the post.

When Henry announced they were chambering a 327M the Aus distributors had no intention of importing any. They ended up bringing in six in the first shipment, I dont know if anymore have made it. Was about 18 months after production started before they made it to Aus, serial # are around the 1000 mark. Lots of older 38/55s and 35's around in Au,s always a few for sale and people looking for ammo and brass.
Cant say I have ever seen or heard of anyone with a 41mag or seen one for sale, I am sure they would be about and could be found if you looked. Surprising how many rarer models are about here in Aus, I know half a dozen people that have marlin 1894''s in 22mag,

I seem to be drawn to less common calibers, have a 17HM2 a swift, 240wby, I dont even own a 223 but do have a 222

A Ruger Blackhawk, as well as a Henry BB in 41 mag. Marlin 336 and Remington 81 in 35 Remington. Never owned or have shot a 38-55.

I’ve shot a Ruger single action in .41 Mag but don’t own any of them. The .41 was a treat to shoot. Tons of guys on Marlin Owners that have .35s, but I have no time for obscure calibers.

I used to shoot the 35 Remington in a Marlin. I do understand its appeal as a woods cartridge. Real classic.

As for the 41 mag, got my first 41 mag this year in my Ruger Blackhawk.

Never shot the 38-55, but I know a couple of local who do and they are big fans.

I'm with Steve and Dave also. Never owned or fired any. Part of that is that I like my ammo to fit two or more guns and like to stay with the more popular type.
Hey Cowboy, I understand the more than in same cal.
I had already owned a BlackHawk in 41 mag. and the reason I wanted to add the rifle.
As stated above I own more than one 35 Rem.
And at some point may add another 38-55 to the stable.
I think a single shot maybe, probably an H&R.
As Henry WON"T make one.

To busy making guns for straight wall restricted hunting states
3 years ago, Maryland allowed straight walled cartridges.

Straight-walled cartridge rifles with 1200 FPS or greater may be used to hunt deer during the Firearms Season and Junior Deer Hunt Days in all counties and locations in Maryland, subject to local and county ordinances. to be used where shotguns are used along in rifle.

Handguns used for deer hunting must have a barrel length of six inches or more and use ammunition which produces a muzzle energy of 700 foot pounds or more. Consult ammunition guides for ballistics information.
Bottleneck cartridge handguns may only be used to hunt deer during the Firearms Season and Junior Deer Hunt Days in certain counties and locations (see map), subject to local and county ordinances.

I'm sure I would, Al ... and that's the problem. :)

I have a soft spot for old traditional deer cartridges, but I don't reload, anymore. 30-30 I can still find around here, but even 35 Remington is a challenger in our area. The 35 Remington is one of those cartridges that has been popular in some areas, but not in others. Our area has always been 30-30 country. Not much for 35 Remington in these parts and 38-55 is even rarer, though I do know a couple of 38-55 shooters, but they reload, of course.
