Thanks Gunny. That is a great site. If ya can't find something you like there something is wrong. What I was looking at though had matching sling and butt stock cover with shell holders. The one I liked was black basket weave pattern with brown stiching...I dunno.GunnyGene wrote:Might have been this guy. Also custom and VERY expensive. Can't remember the web site. Thought I saved to favorites, but can't find now. Maybe whoever it was will come forward because I would like to have the link again. Some were even two tone versions. Really nice!

Yeah, if you don't know what you are looking for, you'll never find it - in products or life.markiver54 wrote:Thanks Gunny. That is a great site. Thanks! I believe I’ll be ordering from these guys.GunnyGene wrote:What you're looking for is called a Butt Cuff. Been thinking about getting one for my .41mag carbine. I've done business with the below for about 3 years and they produce the finest sturdiest gun leather I've ever run across. But if you're looking for fancy embossing, etc. you won't get it from them. They make serious working mans leather for serious shooters/hunters/guides.shootest wrote:Where can I find a rifle stock shell holder for pistol calibers? I would like one in .357 mag. All I see are rifle which are too long or for the .45 caliber size cartridges. Thanks!
Right here:
Diamond D Custom Leather. They ain't cheap tho.

There's a thing here, I feel obliged to mention. While many POTG are what I would call connoisseurs of all things firearms, there exists a larger population of those who only want something that goes bang and is uninterested and unaware of the more esoteric aspects of firearms and accessories such as we are discussing here. That's fine and actually I welcome even that level of interest even if it only extends as far as a $10 Uncle Mikes holster to hold a $200 mouse gun. But at the same time, I enjoy the finer things in life such as the custom gun leather that is being discussed here among other things such as fine Kentucky Bourbon (Blantons), a good book, or a beautiful woman.markiver54 wrote:GREAT!! I guess I'm hooked on faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, and more money.

Did you email them the specifics and a pic of your rifle? If not, you should, & let them know the model, and how many loops you want.shootest wrote:I just ordered this from Diamond D Leather, now I’ve got a 6-8 week wait! Thanks to all y’all for your suggestions, especially to GunnyGene!
