RV Tool Kit

Post by JEBar » Mon Nov 06, 2023 1:45 pm

the Craftsman Tool Kit shown below was a gift from our Daughter ..... its one of the brands owned by the company she works for .... we've kept it in our camper's basement for well over 10 years .... no telling how many times over the years tools from it have been used to take care of jobs by us or folks we were camping with needed a tool .... as can seen in the pictures, its heavy on sockets, wrenches and screwdrivers .... I ruined the box by packing some heavy items that bounced on the case for many miles .... a little while ago I transferred all of the kit's tools to a Heavy-Duty Waxed Canvas Tool roll --- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXBVCKPF?ps ... ct_details ....I do plan to add a few items like channel lock and regular pliers .... the bag is much easier to store and isn't near full

When we were hauling the large kayak trailer I made up a tool bag for changing tires on the trailer. Large Breaker bar, sockets and screwdrivers, etc. Recently, when I went thru the shop and thinned out the excess tools from the tool boxes, removing a lot of the duplicates, I made a Trip tool bag for the truck. Found a use for one of the really nice BAGS that you always seem to get from the big box stores when you buy the package deals on drills, saws, etc. I think this one is heavy duty cordura and says Milwaukee on the side. The one for the Trailer says DeWalt. :D You never know when you will need some tools at hand.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I have a hard case from Dewalt I bought at Costco for the RV as I have ample storage space. But for the boat with very limited storage space I did like you guys and bought a soft case and filled it up with the tools I expect to need. The Costco Dewalt set didn’t have much in the way of pliers so I had to load up a side box with odds and ends.

Found this pic from when I bought it in 2019.
