Don't let that stop you, we carried it on for as long as we wanted, more for us than for him. Heck we still hang stockings at Christmas and write "from Santa" on presents. Traditions.

Let the Easter Bunny roll on....

Back with another manly man story! Saturday Michael saw my grocery list, and sounded out a couple of words on said list. I told him I was impressed that he can read those particular words, because I haven't begun to teach him cursive. I also told him don't worry, I'll teach you how to write in cursive. He looked at me dead serious and told me but mom, my writing isn't cursed.

My cursive is cursed. I am probably the only one who can read it.

Teach him to write in Cursive and make sure he learns to take his time and write neatly. My mother made me write all my letters to family and friends and all my thank you notes neatly and in cursive, and they were neat ... or I did them over. (and over, and over... and ... )
I still get compliments these days on my handwriting, although sometimes they ask if the "Wife" did it. "Too Neat for a Man."
(** note ** not too many letters handwritten since I broke my left wrist. I am right handed, but neat writing means the paper CAN'T move. Something I discovered first hand. - pun intended- )

I have been told that a handwritten letter is often the sign of respect.
