Family updates
Most of you know that I have been sick and got over a case of the flu in March, well during the month of May I had a cough that wouldn't quit. (I think I had walking pneumonia). The little guy had the flu, followed by diarrhea, followed by a cold, followed by my cough. Then my better half got my cough. The Mikes both got over their coughs rather quickly. Hopefully we are officially done with the ickies in the home.
Little Mike is signed up for Day camp at the local park. He will be spending time with other boys his age, going on field trips, and lounging in the pool daily. He will be in camp from late June until late August. Meanwhile I will be have the mornings to myself getting the house back in the order that I like, and even have time to get my garage and tools cleaned and organized! I will also have time to get a lot of projects around the house done too!
Work always gets busier in the summer, my part time job feels like a full time gig. There is at least a call off a day, and I end up having only a day or two off. (This is what happens when they think you're a responsible adult).
For July I purchased a ticket to see Jeff Lynn in concert, I am looking forward to that. I will definitely be rocking my Xanadu shirt. I'm also looking forward to the Taste of Chicago this year, me and the little guy go every year. He loves to eat there, and see the live bands. Last year he actually made it on tv, on a show called man of the people. I'll leave a link here for that. Hes the last one, I'm there too.
Finally, in August the better half and me are going to the Appleseed project together. Hopefully both of us can receive our patches.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Glad to to hear the "ickies" are over with. Amazing how they can just move from one family member to another (and then back around!), huh?
Sounds like a fun summer, please keep us posted!
