That 3 window was a copy of real old hot rods . The 38 ford is a real rare pickup . The 37 and 39 had different front clip.

Danwin22, you have quite a cool collection of 1/24 cars....very nice photos!
I have a "wishlist" for a single 1/24 diecast Chevy, and I just need to get rolling and find this model someday. Here is a web diecast image of my favorite car.

As usual (yawn), another story behind this favorite Chevy Corvette Stingray choice. In 1966 my Dad and I went to our local Chevy dealer to buy my first-ever car. I saw a brand new 1966 Stingray in the showroom that day, silver in color. Sat in it, handle the floor shift, firmly gripped the steering, and I was permanently hooked on this sports car. I have always wanted a full-sized one. At this point, I need to find a 1/24 model, and it will just have to do.
What I ended up getting for my first Chevy that day was a three-year old 1963 Impala SS, like the photo below. It was a great car, basic, but very sharp-looking. Red bucket seats with a lot of chrome interior parts. The floor console was really cool. It was equipped with a 3-speed on the column, 230 cubic-inch, straight-line six cylinder engine. Easy to work on, and reasonable to maintain. I learned quite a bit about car mechanics puttering under the hood of this car. Sold it (regretfully) when I enlisted in the Air Force.

Last comment. I was a youngster in high school when I got it, and liked to show off this SS. It was so much fun to drive I ended up getting two speeding tickets within the first month I had it!! Sure slowed down and definitely had improved gas mileage.
So with a diecast car, I should get along just fine with the local KCMO police......
Have a great weekend, Everyone.
