LOVE THOSE OLD STRAIGHT 8 BUICKS!!!
We were dirt poor when I was a kid in the 50s and 60s. My Dad drove nothing but fifty dollar cars until long after i got out of high school and he had a thing for old 49, 50, and 51 Buicks. He'd patch them up with spit, bubblegum and baling wire ... until the Dynaflow trans gave out ... and he'd just buy another one. Dad never had a wagon, convertable or a sedanette, always 2 or 4 door coupes or sedans.
The first car I ever drove was a black 1950 Roadmaster 4 door. It was 1962 and I was 12 years old.
