Thanks, Mark, and thanks for all you advice along the way. Gotta give you credit for the velcro retention concept on the top-plate. And you were right on the whole "lean angle/scope clearance" issue. A bigger base would have solved a lot of that, but I was too deep into the small base fabrication/lazy susan installation part of things before I realized that. Plus, I just didn't want a 2' diameter finished product, but never say never, right?

Thank you also Evan. Did not push base foot print issue because I knew closet space was important. Fact is, you made it work for sure!!

To me, this concept is great in many ways.
It can be made for inside a safe, If you don't have a safe; then it's great storage, can be used to" display" your prized long guns and can sit next to your shooting bench when enjoying more than just one rifle! Very functional piece which can be tailored to your own needs.

Ah, found them! Quit nicely done!

By the way pictures taken in "upright portrait orientation" will rotate left when posted. Take your picture in "sideways landscape orientation" with the phone/camera lens to the left and they'll post correct side up.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Thanks, Al! No, talked myself off the ledge on the 41 Mag.

However, once I got this tree all put together, it seemed to me that the 357 Brass Single Shot you and I were discussing this past winter would look good in place of the junky 16 Ga Topper. Seems like many/most of the ones that Northern had on GB with the beautiful woodstocks are still there!

Don't need another caliber right now, and I think the most logical caliber to double up on would be 357. "Wish list".
