Bear finished at last
Bear finished at last
My latest project finished at last l have been working on this piece for about a year along with several others. This piece was carved from a burl “don’t know what kind of wood “. But very difficult to carve. It stands about 2 ft tall and weighs about 60 lbs. The claws are made from Tagus Nut that grows in South America, also known as vegetable ivory. This is a one piece carving.

Very nice Carver! You have the patience of a saint!
My late father-in-law carved also. We have several much smaller pieces he did up at our cabin. Will try to post some pics if I can remember when we go there this year, in the mean time, I hope you continue your beautiful work!
