I was hoping to get a cutting from his tree so I could grow some rifles in the backyard. If it goes to seed we could make a fortune.

I, too, would like to see a picture of the rifle tree, as I joined this thread after the photo had been deleted (?). The pink towel picture, however, is much appreciated!

.
Nice to see the posting of the pictures worked out. Very nice DIY tree! Now I have a question for you. Your rifle tree is sitting in the middle of the room, is it sitting on trap door elevator that disappears into the floor? That would also be so cool!

Definitely not fine woodwork, but not what I intended at the time. When cleaning more than one long gun, or or shooting at my cabin range, often I look for a safe place to put my rifles when I switch to another. This, cost me about $10.00. Took me two afternoons and I think it will come in handy in either situation. For what it cost me and a fun few hours, I think it will serve me well.
