While other things dried, or cured. Didn't want to work on complicated things while my mind is distracted with other issues.
This is a mahogany bandsaw box I knocked out in two sessions just to use that block I cobbled together in the other sessions.
I made a mistake or two and ended up with this cute little thing. I think I'll let the Misses use it in her workshop for sewing things or small items for her soap work.
I need to add some knobs of some sort. Small Brass pulls would be perfect.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I've thought about trying my hand at bandsaw boxes, but never jumped in.

Watch a couple videos, give er a go.
A tip or two.
Sand very little on the contact surfaces between the drawers and the slots for them. Ever bit of sanding there widens the gaps.
Simple designs with wide curves to start.
Let glue dry overnight.
Slow accurate cuts on the bandsaw.

I would have to get a thin BS blade. I have used my BS for so long as an accessory to my lathe that I have had nothing but a wide low tpi blade on it for years.

1/8 inch with high tooth count is best, however, 1/4 inch will also will also work, but will not make the really tight cuts.

made the knobs...
Made the knobs out of scraps from the box... so they are mahogany as well.
Cut the squares and just like on the last box, I used the plug cutter to shape on end. On this one, I just flattened the other end in the square section and attached them to the drawers with a dab of CT Adhesive.
Opinions? Rub in another coat of watco, wax on.. and done.
