I have Written and Recorded Down in Nashville and written 7 or more songs
With one of the Legends of Rock and Roll and Rockabilly.
Just recorded a long over due Record which I feel wasn't my best work last year.
Been writing a lot of Free Verse Prose Style Poetry for years these days.
No haven't hit the Big Time by any means but had one Heck of a Ride
In the thing Known as Music and the Biz of it. I sure do miss the Recording Studios
And Friends I knew in Nashville that have Since Passed on. As may God Rest all their Souls

Little know fact, here, but I am a retired semi-professional harmonica player. Played for over forty years in every kind of band there is as far as music (every genre and I do mean every genre) lots of studio gigs, recordings with various bands, used to give lessons and so on. Have had the honor of jamming on stage with some of the blues greats, Buddy Guy, Magic Slim and so on. Used to provide some nice cash on a part time basis when I could find the time.

All behind me, now, other than getting together a few times a year with other former pro music friends, just for fun. Still play on my own, every day, though, strictly for the love of it. Never was about the money, anyway

That's cool, NCG! I started playing harmonica about 2 1/2 years ago after going through a divorce. I needed something positive to do on the evenings when I don't have my daughter besides drink whiskey and watch baseball or college football. Learning blues harmonica is what I chose and I've had a lot of fun with it.

I've taken several online courses and gotten a lot of help from experienced local players, and feel like I've learned a great deal in a pretty short amount of time. I play in local blues jams every other Sunday and recently got asked to join a band that a guitar player is putting together, but time and distance will prevent that from happening.

My favorite among the all-time greats is Paul Butterfield, followed by Little Walter Jacobs and Big Walter Horton. As far as modern players, I'm into Jason Ricci, Dennis Gruenling, Kim Wilson and Will Wilde.

Really wish I'd started down this road years ago. I began with an inexpensive harp that I got for free through a purchase program and figured I'd buy one intermediate-level one when I got better, then that would be it. Here's most – but not all – of what I have now.

On the left are a half-dozen Hohner Special 20s and on the right are six Hohner Marine Bands. In the middle is a full set of EastTop 008Ks. Those blue ones are dang good harps for the price!

The microphone is a Shure Green Bullet that I plug into a Stage 5 amp for the jams.
