Cool! Have a pal that was big into N scale. Gave me a few locomotives for display purposes. The hubby and I might build a set, someday, though we have way too many hobbies to keep us busy, now.

I have always admired model railroads. A friend when I lived in NC, a retired Sailor, had a large (huge) setup in his basement. Multiple routes, small villages all over the basement, connected by bridges and roadways, all reached by track, trestles and tunnels. There were large sheets of plywood on stands and everything was built on them, he could move around UNDER the entire rig to make repairs to wiring or drain water features... fix the lighting and the like. It was amazing. "Some folks build Hot Cars, some spend money on Bass Boats and gear. I spend my money in the basement. The wife doesn't mind. She always knows where to find me."
