Oh boy, tonight is Gonzaga v UCLA in a sweet 16 matchup. There’s some March Madness history between these two with the most recent was 2021 when Jalen Suggs of Gonzaga hit a mid court shot at the buzzer to win. And in 2006 UCLA came back from a double digit deficit late in the game to knock Gonzaga out of the tournament in a sweet 16 matchup. A few other matchup have occurred outside of march madness and Gonzaga has had the upper hand.

It’s going to be a barn burner, UCLA is a 1.5 point favorite. GO ZAGS!

Check, check, over. Am I still alive? Did I have a heart attack last night? Check, roger, all is good!

Last night my Gonzaga Bulldogs stunk up the entire town of Las Vegas with a horrible performance in the first half of last nights game. They were down 13 points at halftime but had a huge comeback in the second to take a 10 point lead. Up 10 with 2 minutes to go and they managed to give up the entire lead and go down by one with 12 seconds left. Inbounded the ball, went down court and hit the miracle 3 point shot. Left 1.4 seconds on the clock and UCLA almost made a miracle shot themselves. Had they made it it would have been nearly the same shot Gonzaga hit two years ago to beat UCLA. Now that would have been something.

Happy for the win but I don’t know how much more of this my heart can take.

The cold shooting Gonzaga Bulldogs ran into an awesome hot shooting UConn team last night in the Elite Eight game. The Zags got smoked right off the court with a 28 point loss, worst loss in the NCAA tourney for them. And that’s going back to 1999. Still a great season for the team that exceeded expectations . Coach said that this is his most improved team (from season start to season end) he’s ever coached. I agree as early in the season I wondered if this team would even make the big dance.

Congrats Gonzaga and thanks for the great season.

Friends daughters run has come to an end in the womens NJCAA with her team going down on the buzzer by a point in their final 4 game.
Another solid game by Millie with 15 points 4RB 4 blocks and 1 assist while shooting 50% from the 3 point line and 100% on FT.

Hey All,

Who would have ever thought SDSU to be the last team from the west to still be in it to win it. Zags jeez how does Timmey pick up 4 fouls in like 6 mins (last of the first beginning of the second half - and where were the rest of the zags players? No AZ schools no USC UCLA Stanford Oregon or Washington schools - what happened to basketball on the west coast? Anyway go SDSU an I never thought I say that.

Nice reward for Millie in her rookie season, selected as one of the top 40 NJCAA athletes to participate in the 15th Annual NJCAA Womens Basketball Coaches Association All-Star weekend.
Will mean a quick flight back to the USA to take part due to it being in the break when she will be home in AUS.

Miiile put in great performances over the All-Star weekend. Already has over 30 offers for next season, a bit overwhelmed by it all and struggling to make a decision on what program but she will be playing division 1 somewhere next season.
