Tow Vehicle Tech 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Redesign

Post by JEBar » Sun Aug 26, 2018 11:33 am

it sounds like a the 2019 Silverado is undergoing a major redesign .... we won't be in the market for another truck until 2021 so they will have a couple of years to work out any bugs that may be surface

In 2018, its main weapon in the fight is an all-new Silverado coming later on in the year. With a dizzying array of new features and engine options, it’s quite a weapon. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2019 Silverado’s full redesign ===> https://www.cheatsheet.com/automobiles/ ... sign.html/

well understood .... while we prefer not having any car payment, we most definitely don't want more than 1 at a time .... we put lots and lots of miles on our vehicles and when we buy a new car we do so with the intention of keeping it for at least 10 years .... we still have and drive on a daily basis my Mom's 2000 Buick .... my truck is a 2011, my wife still has her 2005 Trailblazer and a 2016 Camaro .... in 2021 her Camaro will be paid for and it will be time for me to look for a new truck .... our current truck will most likely go to our oldest son .... at our ages, it will most likely be our last 4 wheel vehicle purchase .... kind of sad to think of it that way

I notice my '88 is starting to look a little "dated". :D

It's those little things you think about, JEBar. All part of the process, I suppose.............

I drive a 1999 Jeep WJ with 190,000 miles on it. It still drives like new and gets me out in the hills to go shooting.
No $40,000 car loans for me.
I was reading about them the other day though and the story said that they had eliminated the Brake Master Cylinder and replaced it with some electronic gizmo on each wheel to handle braking.

Pickups are getting priced about 1/2 of fairly good starter home. That's why I purchased a new car this week. I couldn't afford a new truck and my old one still runs fine.

well understood .... with my wife's family located in South Dakota around 1,600 miles from where we live .... in case of a family emergency, we've always felt the need to maintain at least one 4-wheel drive vehicle that is in a condition that we could crank and head out in a moments notice ..... in response to a family emergency back in '94, our '88 Blazer was in high range four wheel drive from just past Knoxville, TN all the way out to east central South Dakota and back .... over time we've made other such trips where snow covered roads required 4-wheel drive .... in addition, it must also have a comfortable ride and get reasonable mileage .... since 2011 that vehicle has been our Silverado which currently has under a hundred-thousand miles on it .... I'd still take off in it at a moment's notice but as the miles climb, we know we need to be making plans to replace it

There isnt anything dated about having a title in your hand and no stinkin car or in this case truck payment. That 88 looks cool.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
