Re: Truck Tracks....
Watched the video again. Guess finding that buried barbwire fence might not be so good.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I'll stick with my horse. He's full 4x4 and goes almost anywhere and in 40+ years I only ever had one stuck once.

Re: Truck Tracks....
It's cool and all, but we don't get enough snow here to make it necessary. I have the Titan Pro4x, It'll get me there where we need to go in our area.
But it's a great idea... for those who need to go in the deep country snow. Even if it isn't cross country where you'd have to worry about buried fences. Some of the back roads are pretty nasty at times. My ex was from Beckley West VA and when we were first married, back in the 80s, I64 didn't go all the way thru... we had to take nasty mountain for the last couple hours of the drive. Narrow twisting roads, with tight switchbacks. Nasty in the summer, downright deadly in the winter with the snow and ice. She would whine and cry like the spoiled child she was, when I refused to take her and the kids to Beckley with bad weather rolling in, but she WAS married to a Marine. I just tuned her out. AND her mother when she called. It was a blessing when they finally extended the interstate on up into the state.
Funny anecdote... One winter, we were making the drive up and the roads were flooded with police from every jurisdiction imaginable. Turns out that Squeaky Fromme had escaped from the prison in which she was being held in WVA. Not a rocket scientist, she had escaped in pajamas and slippers. It was about 15 degrees outside. She was captured several hours later when she walked up to a troopers car and knocked on the window... "Jesus, let me in," she said, "I'm freezing out here."

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

Re: Truck Tracks....
I’m late to this thread, but I’ve known a couple of guys that owned the predecessor to these. They are called Mattracks. It’s a bit of a different design as you bolt them right to your axels in place of the tires. It eliminates a couple of points of failure. They are similar money.

Theres way to much snow there for me. If I need one of those to get around time to go the opposite direction.
