New Toyota RAV4
Well, new as of May 19th. We have 5,120 miles on it now, a 2016 Limited Hybrid AWD.We felt that after having had two cars in the family since the early 1970's that since we are both retired, that we could go down to one vehicle. It is nice to have more room in the garage and less maintenance costs. I thought that with having one vehicle that the insurance rate would go down, but it stayed just about the same because of what this Toyota is equipped with as compared to the other two. We traded in a 2008 Lincoln MKX and a 2002 Subaru Sport Wagon. Neither had over 68,000 miles. This one has the gas engine, 2.5 194hp Atkinson and one electric motor in the front and one in the rear. So far we love it in performance and gas mileage. Right now I am averaging 34.5 mpg city/highway. Now, the Hybrid Prius gets approximately 52 mpg but it is only front wheel drive and is a lot lighter. This RAV4 has a normal drive mode, sport mode, economy mode and an electric (EV) mode for up to about 30mph only. It comes with a two year free maintenance. Plenty of storage room. This may well be our last vehicle if it holds up to Toyota's reputation for longevity. So far, no "bugs" in it and that is more than I can say for a lot of new vehicles that I have owned.

SH, the F250 looks superb. I had an old F100 many moons ago, and I absolutely loved it.

I need to buy stock in EXON just to afford the gas for it. If I get ten miles to the gallon I'm lucky.Les wrote:SH, the F250 looks superb. I had an old F100 many moons ago, and I absolutely loved it.
