Re: 2024 Blazer RS
the indicated MPG and actual MPG on our 2005 Trailblazer have always been very close .... not so for those numbers with our 2011 Silverado .... we keep a log in/on our vehicles in which we keep track of most everything spent on them .... we hand figure every filling and keep a record of where the filling took place .... it will be interesting to us to see how the Blazer's actual and indicated numbers stack up

Re: 2024 Blazer RS
The indicated average mpg on my 4Runner and my own calculations are pretty close. I've seen better by 1 or 2 mpg using my own calculations. Neither are good though. Both below 18 mpg. I know you're doing a lot better than that. 4Runners are NOT known for good fuel economy...oh well.JEBar wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 5:17 pmthe indicated MPG and actual MPG on our 2005 Trailblazer have always been very close .... not so for those numbers with our 2011 Silverado .... we keep a log in/on our vehicles in which we keep track of most everything spent on them .... we hand figure every filling and keep a record of where the filling took place .... it will be interesting to us to see how the Blazer's actual and indicated numbers stack up

Re: 2024 Blazer RS
she has 300 and some miles since we last filled it and the indicated mileage is 23.9 ... outside of the 50 some miles today that has all been short distance, around town driving .... I hope she will do some better than that once she settles inmarkiver54 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 5:29 pmThe indicated average mpg on my 4Runner and my own calculations are pretty close. Adaptive cruise control is a nice feature.
Check and see if you can adjust the following distance.
It took me a while to figure out how to increase the distance as I was following closer than I was comfortable with at first.
I guess I could have read the manual but what's the fun in that ...Ha
Now I have mine set at 3-4 car lengths and I'm much more relaxed using it.

Re: 2024 Blazer RS
we now have just under 700 miles on our Blazer .... used the Adaptive Cruise Control today for the first time .... in some ways its a bit spooky but info provided from folks here is making the adjustment much easier .... still too early to come up with an average MPG but do feel pretty confident that it will be 20+

Re: 2024 Blazer RS
just returned home from taking our Blazer in for a planned followup session with the fellow who ceramic coated it for us .... as noted this was planned from the beginning so as to give him a chance to make sure everything is as it should be .... he worked on her for just under 3 hours .... I didn't think it was possible for it to look any better than it did when we picked it up the first time but I was wrong .... the pictures below really don't come close to how she looks in person .... the paint appears to have a depth that the pictures can't capture ..... we have to take it back once more for the last scheduled treatment .... that will be the application of a specially tough wax type of coating that will help the high gloss black paint to stand up the sun's exposure and to the interior as well .... he had a back Corvette there that he's working on and its finish was incredible .... these return visits were all in the original plan and are included in the price .... I've found watching all of this to be fascinating

Re: 2024 Blazer RS
we are back home from spending 4 days down east with our Blazer parked on a lot literally on the beach .... the thought of it being exposed to salt impregnated moist air pushes my paranoia to where running it through a car wash is a necessity .... fortunately we have really good brushless car wash that does an excellent job of pressure washing the entire bottom, along with in the tire fender wells .... it has 5 levels of wash cycles that include various types of washes and paint coatings .... the next to cheapest cycle does all we need and she really looks good

Re: 2024 Blazer RS
I don't blame you Jim. I refuse to run my vehicle through an automatic car wash with spinning brushes, and I don't even have the ceramic coating. I usually do it myself with the pressure washer when the weather allows. if there is any salt/brine on the roads, then I drive my older 4Runner.JEBar wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 11:53 amwe are back home from spending 4 days down east with our Blazer parked on a lot literally on the beach .... the thought of it being exposed to salt impregnated moist air pushes my paranoia to where running it through a car wash is a necessity .... fortunately we have really good brushless car wash that does an excellent job of pressure washing the entire bottom, along with in the tire fender wells .... it has 5 levels of wash cycles that include various types of washes and paint coatings .... the next to cheapest cycle does all we need and she really looks good
