I’ll be making a separate post. I made some registrations at parks thanks to this thread getting me thinking about camping.

UPDATE :

we've now used our i10 TireMinder system for something over 4,000 miles .... thankfully, there hasn't been an occasion to test it under emergency conditions .... it has performed flawlessly .... it has alerted us of pressure build ups, all of which were caused by changes in the outside air temp when they were filled and their pressure was set .... I still have to keep a manual in the truck's console but am happy to say I don't have to refer to it as often .. ;)

Just curious. When you leave home how much air pressure are you putting in your tires and what are they rated for as far as pressure goes. Do you fill them to max? I personally have never had to stop and let air out of my tires because they had to much air in them.

until we replaced the truck's front tires I air them up to 100 psi at whatever the temp is at that time

Ok so at what point are you letting air out because your tire systems is not liking it

Under inflated, or over can cause big problems. I have personally experienced the explosion, on two or three occasions when one literally blows up.

Every tire has a min and max pressure stamped on it. If a tire is over inflated past its max said pressure on the side of the tire sure it can cause a blow out due to expansion after it goes down the road. My tires on the trailer are max 110lbs cold. I fill them to about 105. Ive watched them on hot days get to 120 to 125. Thats not excessive and manufactures know that they are going to expand some. Just curious where Jim is letting air out.

Interesting. I dont think I have ever seen mine above that temp.
