We have already made plans for next winter. We will be here again on Dec 1st of this year leaving here and going to Brownsville Feb 1 of 2022 and staying there until March 19th. Im not missing the cold at home at all.
that comes as no surprise whatsoever .... we made that decision about 10 years ago and see no reason to rethink it :D

busy (well busier than customarily having little to nothing scheduled ;) ) day on tap .... first up, pulling/filling/reinstalling one of the camper's 40 lb propane tanks .... second, arranging for a package delivery at our current campground .... third, scheduling a mobile RV Tech to come by and stop a minor water leak .... fourth, change the camper's water filters .... most importantly, enjoy the rest of the day

Yeah, I just sat outside on the patio with my wife for a few minutes and told her (again), “we really need to become snowbirds”. And it’s been a pretty mild winter. Must be an age thing.

Al and JEBar, please enjoy those Texas temps, I’m there in spirit. :D

project for today, install a small coolant recovery tank on our Sportchassis .... in looking at it, shouldn't be much of a problem .... in retrospect, that usually doesn't turn out to be a good sign .. :?

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

in looking back I too am a bit surprised that it didn't come with a recovery tank ... I did get one installed .... while I'm happy with the install, I'm far from happy with the hose that came with the kit .... it has several significant kinks that all but block the flow through the hose .... I most definitely plan to purchase a better hose at the earliest opportunity .... while very hopeful, the effectiveness of this new tank has yet to be proven

Its a real commitment Hatch. This is the first year for us and so far I hope to be able to continue. Ive already made reservations for next year. We will leave Dec 1 and not go back until mid March. My wife is kind of the leader so to speak because her parents did it. We bought our first 5er in 2006 trading that one for a bigger one in 2008. We kept that one until May of 2019. Im hoping this one will last us until we are thru. Right now its 9pm here and the temp is still 68 deg it was 72 today.

If we knew how complicated some projects would get we wouldn’t start half the stuff.
