Alright!! Finally able to book a flight to Idaho Falls Reginal Airport. Aug 7-17. Shorter than usual, but, in today's world, I'll take it. 1.5 hours fly time. Cannot beat that! Probably won't be fishing Henry's Lake, too hot and Lake weeds will be an issue. So, we will go to Birch Creek area and fish. 'Bout time!
Sounds like a wonderful time. It is refreshing to visit and enjoy good friends. Have a safe trip.

Idaho Falls is just a hop skip and jump from my old stompin' ground Jackson Hole.

Thanks guys. I'll take pictures and have a few things to say. Man, I cannot wait to get back there! The Birch Crk area I referred to earlier is along the Lemhi Range and the Beaverhead Mtns. Up by Gilmore Summit and the settlement of Leadore. It's one of, if not one my favorite spots to just chill. A little fishing, a little shooting and soak it all in.

RR, if you haven't been to Jackson Hole in several years, you'd be amazed. It's the trendy spot now for all the tourists. And man, I mean trendy. Used to be a great fly fishing stop with all the fishing shops and whatnot. Now, I don't believe you'd recognize the place. Still beautiful area. Just different. We go thru there to get to the Tetons area. Now, that is crazy country.
Love looking at all the Bison. And searching for the spot they filmed "Shane". We have found it. Splendid area of the world!

I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip, Tom. And, just as an aside, I'm so glad you didn't refer to the American Bison as Buffalo. ;)

Did some packing and guiding in '83 in the Tetons. It was a cowboy town then.

CT, Bison indeed. They're out in the Elk refuge by the hundreds. Amazing to see.
RR; oh boy, different times back then. You might be a bit surprised what that place has turned into. Like me, you'd probably go right thru it fast heading somewhere else. Which, ain't very far.
