I haven't seen anything about that, although here's the current rules. Note that 100% disabled have on base privileges, but not others. It's been that way for a long time. I think your friend may be mistaken.
checked with my friend and he provided this link ===> https://www.military.com/daily-news/201 ... ccess.html
Hmmm. Ok. Thanks. Some restrictions, especially regarding credit/debit cards which is liable to create some confusion and checkout computer problems. Pretty sure they will limit this to honorably discharged vets also.

PS: A thought just occurred to me. I wonder how the Exchanges in States like CA will handle State laws regarding ammo, since the big bases stock it.

Actually, I am planning to be on my first hunting trip. So, it will be the start of another chapter in my life. Ya!
good luck .... what area will you be hunting and what type of game .... will you be hunting with a Henry rifle .... looking forward to your post hunt reports
Thanks. I will be in Arkansas, looking for deer. And, I am planning to use my Marlin 336W. It is the rifle that I first purchased (September 2016), when I decided to try hunting deer. Since it will be my first outing, I wanted to go with someone who has been before. If nothing else, I hope to be shown the ropes.

many years ago I was told that Hunting is perfectly named .... the vast majority of the time is spent hunting, not finding .... enjoying the total experience of being out and about has a great appeal to me .... hope your hunt proves to be one you will really enjoy

as noted in the opening post, we are scheduled to camp with our club .... with this coming weekend's club outing rapidly approaching the weather folks say we are in for a warming trend .... they are calling for a high of 70 on Thursday .... the bad news is we will be camping Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and they are calling for a high of 49 on both Friday and Saturday ... lows in the upper 20's .... camping with friends, gotta love it ... :D

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
