awoke to a warm temp with a heavy cloud cover .... decided to take down and store our flag until the storm due to roll in overnight gets out of our area .... in previous year's Texas trip threads I've noted that there is mobile tech we trust and depend on who comes to our campground .... over the years he's handled a range of major replacements/repairs; as well as, minor adjustments .... he's scheduled to come by Monday morning and take care of a few things that I'm no longer able to handle .... for us, its comforting to have such capable resource ... no trips out of the campground slated for today .... do have some blades that need sharpening, plan to take care of them after the rain sets in

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Is that a paper target only range Jim or is there some steel there a guy can ring
Seems to me they have a small area for steel pistol shooting but not for rifle. My range doesn't offer steel for rifle but there is one shooter that "brings his own" out from time to time. Takes him forever to set them up during cease fire and very annoying to other shooters.

Thanks Jake Im checking for future trips to Texas. Im not much of a paper guy. I kind of like those reactive targets like 2 litres and pop cans.

most certainly .... here is a link to find an "Amazon Hub Locker" ====> https://www.amazon.com/gp/css/account/a ... archStores .... the one we chose is a GNC Store that is located 3.7 miles from where we are camped .... we were told by the folks camped next to us that we would receive an email from GNS saying our package is there .... we need to take a solid ID and probably a copy of that email .... our package is supposed to get there tomorrow (Saturday) .... no clue if it will get there in time to pick it up or if we will need to wait until Sunday

the much ballyhooed storm we've been expecting for several days is rolling through where we are camped north of Houston as this is being typed .... right now our camper is in the middle of the thick red band showing on the weather radar .... lost satellite TV a few minutes ago, Verizon MIFI working well ....

it was a storm with a few "interesting" moments .... we were told that this morning would dawn clear and cool .... they got the cool part right (over 20 degrees cooler than yesterday) but is far from clear .... looking out I can see some evidence of wind (cooler top in the road, collapsed chairs, patio carpets piled up) but nothing serious .... some puddles but no serious amount of standing water ..... last year we rode out Hurricane Michael in our camper .... its rain and wind lasted more than a day .... the worst of last night's storm was reported to be traveling at 50 mph hammered our are for a few minutes .... the rain came in a couple of intense, but brief, downpours .... wind gust were noticeable .... I wouldn't hesitate to place a bet that with the intensity of the rain and wind, some campers leaked

its been a sausage and eggs morning with some hot coffee type morning here as well .... still bouncing ideas for creating a portable reloading capability around in my head .... still have a few knives that need sharpening, will probably take care of them later today
