a busy couple of days ....fished Friday in the boat mentioned above .... he just got it out of the shop and now its running on 3 of its 6 cylinders .... Saturday I fished with Maureen's brother in his boat, thankfully it ran well .... also on Friday, I adjusted our Pressure Pro to include monitoring pressures in our camper's tires .... off door side front tire was very low .... my brother-in-law came over this morning, we pulled the big slide in and removed the tire ... couldn't find any signs of a puncture so we soaped the valve stem .... bubbles seeping from the edged of the stem indicate it needs to be replaced .... hope to take care of that in the morning .... we also repaired the small rear storage compartment located on the passenger's side of our truck (first picture) .... it is the compartment where we store and transport or Bigfoot Landing Gear Pads ===> https://www.outriggerpads.com/product/r ... 5-x-1-5-2/ which weigh a bit over 12 lbs each .... with 160,000+ miles on our truck, their weight bouncing down the road had split the aluminum tack welds on three sides of the compartment .... after figuring out how I wanted to do so and purchasing aluminum angle iron from Lowe's, we made the repairs .... what can't be seen are the angle iron braces under the floor and along the sides of the box .... the crack across the door side can be seen in picture 3 .... the storage area is every bit as solid as when it was new and has been reinforced to where it should remain that way

Sure do love those LED lights especially in the new Cedar Creek. There bright as heck and one can see. Im sure you know that as we get older more light is a big hit when trying to read or see something small to work on. Looks like you got that box fixed also. Some of this stuff the way the put it together makes a guy just shake his head and wonder what the heck they were thinking.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

understood on the way some things are put together ....all-in-all our truck and camper have held up well .... we are slowly replacing OEM lights with LED's .... the process is going slow because I have a thing about not replacing lights/bulbs until they burn out

no rain but hotter and more humid than its been lately .... during a morning visit to the doctor in Brookings who has been treating her, Maureen was cleared for travel .... she will now call and try to schedule an appointment for after we get back home .... also, the leaking valve stem has been replaced in a camper tire .... plan to remount it tomorrow .... more electrical bugs in the wiring for our Tire Pressure monitoring system .... plan to check it one more time tomorrow .... big family cookout on tap for tomorrow. the last for this trip .... smaller one on tap for Saturday

a good but really busy day .... first thing after breakfast we switched water softeners .... we then back flushed the one we have been using for the last week and recharged it with salt ... after wiping down the exterior it was placed in the basement were it will most likely remain until we get back to Texas in January .... next won tap was dumping/cleaning the black tank ..... following a short drive up town to the Post Office and local grocery .... as mentioned above, I then began trying to find the electrical problem with the wiring for the control unit of our Pressure Pro tire monitoring system .... as can be seen in the first picture, it is mounted on the bottom, front of a small compartment directly above the steering wheel .... after removing the compartment it looked to me like the hot wire (red) runs from somewhere under the dash (absolutely no cue where) and into that compartment were it is spliced into cigarette lighter outlet .... the negative wire (black) spliced into that outlet runs off to the right to the larger compartment that can be seen in picture two .... removing that compartment involved taking out seven screws and working the tightly fitted face loose .... finding and following the ground wire was no problem .... the good news is, it was loose .... tightened it up and everything is working .... with the exception of dropping several screws, reinstalling the large compartment face proved to be easier than removing it .... next came reinstalling the camper tire mentioned above .... doing so went smoothly, happy to report that the Pressure Pro monitor shows the replaced valve solved the leak .... next, we began chopping various items needed to fix Beach Burgers ===> http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.p ... gers#p5298 <=== for 20 members of my wife's family in what is scheduled to be our last family gathering of this trip ....

well, another morning, another issue .... when my wife came down to the living area and turned on the switch (picture 1 top row center switch) that controls the living area ceiling florescent light fixtures (picture 2) .... the problem turned out to be with the Female Spade Wire Terminals that plugged into the switch .... other than being connected to a switch installed back in Oct of '05 that has been turned on most all of the time that we have been inside the camper, I don't know why they went bad .... one showed definite signs of heating while both of the male blades on he back of the switch looked line new .... bottom line, the lights work .... have to admit to being relieved, I didn't hold much hope of finding a replacement switch before we head for home on Tuesday

packing up continues .... after taking our deck down I found a crack in an aluminum weld ... one of Maureen's relatives came by and will take it to be repaired in the morning .... another came by with a go'n home strawberry pie .... others have brought fresh veggies from their gardens .... gotta love this area .... a couple of days ago something went wrong in my computer .... open it up, turn it on, the opening screen would come up with a box to type my security pin number .... has worked flawlessly for years but suddenly a warning popped up saying it was no longer valid .... gave instructions on how to reset it but the trouble was, without that pin number it wouldn't go to the next page .... called a fellow out here who runs his own IT business, he picked it up yesterday and brought it back today .... works fine again .... he's coming back tomorrow with a USB drive and instructions on how I can fix it if it ever does it again .... before noon tomorrow we hope to have everything to where on Tuesday morning we unhook the utilities and hit the road
