Washinton trip

Post by BigAl52 » Fri Mar 09, 2018 10:30 pm

Next weekend I set sail to see my sister in Washington State. Im driving for the first time in quite a while. Im looking forward to the trip. Im also looking forward to meeting SH and going shooting with him. So I have about 8 Henrys I could take to entertain SH. No I dont have any of the new single shot calibers but I do have alot of the pistol calibers. Im looking for a vote of what I should take for the trip. Im thinking the 41 but maybe you all have some ideas. What would SH like to shoot. Al

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I told SH I was going to bring the 45-70 and he said he could man up to shoot that. I can sure bring the sharps for him to shoot but we might need to see if badger wants to be there to shoot that one cause Im not sure mannin up will be enough.

I'm sure that no matter what guns you bring that you two will have fun. You're going to love getting together with Gene.

I'm thinking of bringing a couple .22LR Henrys and a .17HMR CZ American. I doubt if I will have a scope for the Long Ranger by then.

Im thinking of buyin an air rifle to bring along to see if I can nail one of those backyard green prairie dogs. Ive been looking at the Gamo Varmit air rifle. Has a really good review on Amazon for the money and Im not wanting to spend a ton on an air rifle. Maybe you as an air rifle owner have some thoughts on an air rifle. I had them as a kid but havent been around them for along time. I kind of want one here for other reasons. I read alot of them that come with scopes that they say scopes arent very good. This one seems to be okay I havent read any reviews that say the scope was junk. Al
