HENRY LEVER ACTION 22 WMR 19.25" Blued

Post by Bugs » Wed May 23, 2018 6:05 am

Just a heads up...Kentucky Gun Company has these on sale for Memorial Day for $364.99. I just bought a .22LR SGC or I'd grab one. Here's the link.

I've bought a few guns from these guys. Great to deal with and good service. No worries. I have no affiliation with them.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I'm "gunned" out for a while or I'd purchase one. I already have a fine shooting Marlin 783 in .22 WMR so can't justify the addition, BUT, that is a fine price especially with free shipping.

I have not got to shoot it yet, probably shoot it this weekend. But out of the box the fit and finish is superb and the action is nice and slick. The rifle balances perfectly and fits me well. The bluing is really nice and I like the octagon barrel. Honestly not sure if I prefer the Buckhorn rear sight over the Skinner Peep. I guess after shooting it a bit I'll have a better idea. I've taken a liking to the Buckhorn rear.

I had the same thoughts until I shot the gun a couple of times. But I now like that peep sight alot better. Whatever you do dont pass judgement on it the first time give it a chance so you get a-custom to the sights. I liked mine so well I just added another one. I just brought home my 10th Henry a SGC in 22 mag. I might be a Henryholic

Will do. My peep sight aperture was loose when it arrived even though the allen set screw was tight. You could move/rotate the peep sight from side to side. So I loosened the allen set screw and found that the peep site was screwed all the way down. I adjusted it up a bit and re-tightened the allen screw and now it is holding it firm. I assume this is normal?

BigAL, I think your assessment of being a "Henryholic" is spot-on!
Thumbs up on your .22 Magnum SGC...Congrats.
