It is often described as THE powder for .357 magnum. I've never used it myself, primarily because it was never available, but it was on my radar when I first started reloading and I thought it might be of interest to others.

I use H110 and have acquired several pounds of it, so I'm not in the market anymore; I just thought it was notable that it was available. It will likely be gone by tomorrow.

Cabela's powder prices tend to be high in my experience.

I have had no trouble getting it locally. 2400 was I believe developed for the .22 Hornet but it is most well know as the father of the .44 ( Elmer Keith) magnum's load for his child using a hard cast S.W.C. .slug.

I use 2400 for .357 magnum and .44 magnum. I really like the powder but has not been available locally for 2 years. The wife and I were in Nashville, TN earlier in the week. Bass Pro shop had some for $39.99. No way I was paying that much for it. I will be switching to AA#9 for my magnum loads. I have made some loads with it to duplicate my POI in these rifles and am pretty satisfied with the groups I get.

I picked up a lb of 2400 last week. It was about $25.00. I use it for .357, .41, .44 and .45C.
