Just finished the leaves

Post by daytime dave » Sun Nov 13, 2016 5:45 pm

I keep this mower at my parents except in the fall. The blessings of living on the edge of a forest in fall require it's presence.

Nice tractor. Tomorrow I have to get my leaves up with my push mower and bagger but I don't have near what you have in leaves. Just one tree in the front and one in the back yard. I will probably have to do this at least once more.

Mother Nature blew a lot away, but the big Maple in Mom's backyard won't let go, mostly green too :(

I have about 3/4 acre in grass that I mow. When I worked I used the riding mower but now that I'm retired I use a gas push behind.

I had a bagger on my old Craftsman and it worked great.

Problem was it picked them up so fast I was constantly stopping to change out trash bags.

Seriously, these things are great and well worth the price when you consider how long it would take with a rake.

We have a huge yard, and Miss T usually blows the leaves into the woods at the end of the season by driving her magic pattern on her tractor. Not perfect, but gets the job done. :) Yesterday, the NWS issued a severe wind warning for our area. Several trees blew down, two or three dozen large branches... and the fifty mph plus winds blew all the leaves off the yard leaving it clean as a whistle. Poor Tina, no reason to play on her tractor for two to three hours. ;)

The trees and branches? In the wooded areas away from our structures, thank God.
